What to Expect
You will feel like you have entered a day spa when you arrive at our practice. Our relaxing, tranquil environment isn’t cold or clinical like other dental practices you may have visited. We don’t overbook patients to ensure that we offer a calming place to be. Scented candles are burning in our comfortable patient lounge which is stocked with magazines and newspapers. We have a basket of toys and colouring books to keep children busy and happy.
Initial Visit
When you walk in, our front desk coordinators will warmly greet you and ask you to fill out a form in our lounge. We’ll enter your details into the computer before your dentist takes you to the surgery. Your dentist consults with you to understand your needs, then together with a hygienist moves on to:
- An examination and cleaning
- Fluoride treatment
- Two x-rays (if required)
This process takes around 45 minutes.
During this initial consultation, your dentist will take note of your dental and medical history and your goals and expectations. Your dentist will create a treatment plan complete with fees if future visits are necessary. We’ll provide you with all possible options so that you can pick the best solution for you.
Our patient care coordinators will assist you in booking your next treatment or scheduling your regular checkup.
Advanced Digital X-rays
Please note that if you have had x-rays taken within the past two years, we may be able to request them from your previous dentist. Otherwise, you can rest assured that our x-rays are digital to reduce your radiation exposure. X-rays are vital for us to check on what is happening under the gum line, looking at your oral health where the dentists’ eyes cannot see.
